These reusable litter liner bags are specifically made to fit Modkat Litter boxes.
In total there are 5 different liners for Modkat litter boxes. If that sounds confusing, we have simplified things by explaining which Modkat liners go with which Modkat litter boxes.
The fit of these liners is perfect because the liners are specifically designed to fit the Modkat litter boxes.
Plastic liners that are generic, to fit many different types and sizes of litter boxes will not have the same snug fit simply because it is not possible to make plastic liners that fit all litter boxes perfectly.
There are however, different types of cat litter liners, for example drawstring, elastic, biodegradable and sifting.
All of those liners are explained here in more detail.
The Modkat liners are named A, D, C, F, G.
Features of All Modkat Liners
- The liners are made from tarpaulin which is rip resistant.
- Reusable for 3 months (many people use them longer)
- Each liner is perfectly fitted to the model of litter box for which it is designed.

The price which may seem high at first glance is for 3 liners and each liner will last approximately three months.
When you look at the cost, taking into account how long each liner lasts, it does make a difference.
Pros
These bags are very sturdy compared to a normal plastic litter box liner. They frequently last longer than the recommended three months.
Cons
The shaped front edge in this model appears to be a cut raw edge, whereas previously it was a seamed edge. Hopefully this problem is temporary and will be rectified. It won’t affect how the liner works but may affect the longevity of the liner near the raw edge.

How To Clean A Modkat Litter Liner
The Modkat liner makes cleaning up after a cat much easier, but how do you clean it?
Follow these steps to thoroughly clean the liner to ensure that it lasts the three months suggested by the manufacturer or hopefully longer, as is often the case. Look after the liner to get the best use.
1. Put the liner in a tub of warm soapy water and agitate to remove debris. Scrub with a brush if necessary to remove dirt.
2. Rinse the liner thoroughly with fresh water to remove all soap residue.
3. Hang up to dry, put on a drying rack or place in the sun for quicker drying.
4. Once dry, fold the liner into thirds lengthwise and place it back inside its original bag for storage or place back into the litter box.
5. Store your Modkat Litter Liner away from direct sunlight and moisture sources like dishwashers or washing machines.
When Do You Need To Replace Your Modkat Litter Liner?
When is it time to change the liner in your Modkat litter box?
One way to tell if it’s time for a new one, is by looking at the bottom of the current liner and checking for any tears or holes.
If there are none, then you’re good!
If the liner is looking frayed, it will be more susceptible to tearing so keep an eye on it.
Also keep in mind that 3 months is the recommended time from Modkat before changing liners. There can be bacteria that lingers on liners if they are not cleaned properly.
Make sure that the level of litter is maintained at 2-3 inches and that the litter box is scooped regularly.
Wash and store the liners carefully, to extend the life of the liner and avoid unnecessary purchases.
